3/4 Barn 30 metres to
north of Asenby Hall

Hay barn. Late C18 or early C19. Red brick in English bond on stone
plinth, pantile roof. 5 bays, Central cart entrance with segmental arch
and plank doors with strap hinges of C19 type. Ventilation holes
grouped in diamond patterns and the remains of a brick dovecote formerly
attached to left end. Remains of stone slate eaves course. Ashlar
gable coping with remains of kneelers, and stone ridge. Left return has
blocked ventilation slits. Included partly for group considerations.
