Tennis court. Mid-late C19. Red and brown brick, English bond.
Westmorland slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays with taller single storey
hall to rear. Central panelled double doors with flat soldier arch,
flanked on both floors by 16-pane sashes with stone sills and cambered
gauged brick arches. Giant pilaster strips to corners and flanking
door, with round arch over entrance, and dog-tooth cornice over windows.
Diaper brickwork above entrance. Hipped roof. train hall gable behind
entrance block has 3 blind arches with stepped gable over. Ashlar
coping. Right return: hall of 4 bays divided by buttressed pilasters.
Large iron-framed windows. Interior has balcony at east end, with iron
pillars supporting round arches. Roof structure of iron rods decorated
with roses and buds with wooden lining and glazed ridge.
