Chest tomb. Early C19. Sandstone slabs. End panels,recessed sides,
flat top. Corner piers in the form of reeded square-section columns
with rosettes on capitals. End panels have an urn with drapery in
relief. Recessed panels have weathered inscription on north side: 'John
J'Anson / of Melmerby / ... the 16th day of March, 1813 Aged 38 years
