Former house, now garden store and garage. Probably C16 timber framing
encased in stone early C17. Ashlar with graduated stone slate roof.
2 storeys, 3 bays with central original board door undertringular shaped
lintel; chamfered jambs with staight-cut stops. Flanking 5-light
recessed, chamfered mullioned windows with leaded-light casements.
Dripmould at first-floor level, stepped up over door. First-
floor windows similar to those on ground, with a small square window flanked
by lower, recessed blind panels over the door. Lateral stack at centre of
rear wall. Interior contains timber posts and panelling in partition walls
and stairs. Plasterwork survives in upper room, left. H Speight, Kirkb
