Milepost. C19. Cast iron and gritstone. Triangular in plan with rounded
head. Approximately 80 centimetres high. Inscriptions: head - 'Wetherby,
Spofforth and Knaresbro Road Spofforth with Stockeld'. Left face -
'Wetherby 2 miles'. Right face: 'Harrogate 6 miles, Knaresbro 5 miles
Spofforth 1 mile'. 2 iron bolts through the face fasten iron plate to
gritstone support.
