House. Mid C18 with C19 and C20 alterations. Red-brown brick, English
bond, C20 pantile roof with 2 lowest courses of stone slates. 2 storeys, 4
bays with a blocked doorway between bays 1 and 2. Ground-floor windows all
C20 replacements. A 4-course stepped string course. 1st floor has four 4-
pane side-sliding sash windows, probably in original openings, with flat
brick arches and brick sills. Eaves cornice. Ridge stack above bay 3.
Interior - the main living-room contains a large fireplace with chamfered
mantle beam and a central ceiling beam. The present entrance is at the rear
of the building, in a C20 extension. North Yorkshire and Cleveland
