railings

GV II

House. Early to mid C19. Brown and cream brick, Flemish bond, blue slate
roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays, double-pile plan. Central 4-panel door, the top
2 panels glazed. Plain doorcase with shallow cornice. Flanked by 16-pane
sash windows on both floors with a narrower sash window with glazing bars to
first floor, centre. End stacks. Former stables lean-to extension on north
side, not of special interest. In front, low brick wall with stone coping
and iron railings. Railings and gate bars have flowered heads. Gate piers
of cast iron with open-work flower and scroll motifs.
