SE 35 NE GOLDSBOROUGH KNARESBOROUGH ROAD

3/25 Gate piers at village
entrance (formerly listed
as Stone gate piers at
15.3.66 entrance to Village)

Inner and outer pairs of gate piers. Late C18. Ashlar. Inner pair square
in section, approximately 4 metres high. Rusticated masonry with projecting
band below plain entablature with paterae. Stepped caps and ball finials.
Outer piers approximately 3 metres high. Rusticated masonry, projecting
band and shallow pyramidal caps. No gates.
