Substantial 2 storey mid Cl9 Gothic house in its own grounds overlooking the
road. Rubble walls with ashlar dressings. Central gabled section comes forward
slightly, smaller gables to sides. Steep tiled roofs with ridge cresting. Curved
and cusped bargeboards with finials to gables. Tall Tudor style chimney stacks
set diagonally in pairs. 2-light Gothic window under dripmould to main gable.
4-light canted bays under lean-to roofs to 1st floor. Weathered string over
ground floor. Larger ground floor bays with similar detail. Entrance in left
gable end under 2 storey porch.
