to church and school

GV II

Wall with gate piers and gates. 1876. Brick with sandstone and ashlar,
wooden gates. Wall: approximately 150 metres long and 1.5 metres high,
extending across north side of church and passing along road frontage to
link with school. Steps down at division between church and school.
Brickwork has bands of red and blue bricks, ashlar gabled coping. 2 sets of
gates to church: piers of sandstone with ashlar bases and caps, chamfered
main columns, pyramidal caps. 4-panel gates with trefoil open panels and
wrought-iron crosses and overthrow. School gate: brick piers with moulded
stone caps. Plain wooden gate with wrought-iron hinges.
