WALLERTHWAITE (west side, off)

5/58 Gate piers approximately
80 metres to north of
Park House


Pair of gate piers. C18. Ashlar. Square in section, overall height
approximately 3.5 metres. Rusticated ashlar. Each has plain entablature,
deep moulded cornice and capstone with ball finial. Projecting buttresses
on inner faces with scrolled tops. C20 farm gate and flanking walls. The
drive no longer leads to Park House, but is used by a mid-C20 bungalow.
