Farmhouse. Late C17 refronted mid C18. Coursed gritstone, refronted with
brick in Flemish and random bond, C20 pantile roof with 3 eaves courses of
stone slates. 2 storeys with attics, 4 first-floor windows, one blocked.
Stone quoins. C19 half-glazed door to right of centre in original window
opening. 2 windows to left and one to right, ground and first floor; 8-pane
sashes with flat arches throughout. Moulded gable copings, ball finials,
end stacks. Rear: coursed gritstone rubble. Left bay projects and has ogee
doorhead of gritstone with inscription '16 THE 64'. To left on ground and
first floors: C20 windows in mid C18 sandstone surrounds. Left return:
large external stone stack flanked by blocked single-light windows with
round arched heads, 5 visible in this gable end. 2-light mullioned window
to attic. Marks of 2 alterations to roof line on rear of building. Right
return: blocked doorway to left, remains of dripmould above. 3 blocked
openings to first and second floors, one of them a round-arched window as
left return. To right - roof raised and an extra bay built at rear.
