Statue of Bacchus. c1730 for John Aislabie, restored c1970. Lead statue,
ashlar pedestal restored. Overall height approximately 3 metres. The
statue was part of the original garden scheme. Plinth has moulded base and
cornice. Bacchus has a tail and horns and wears a goat skin which holds a
quantity of fruit. He is feeding an animal, probably a cat.
