Country house and attached garden wall. Early C19. Ashlar, red brick wall,
Westmorland slate roof. 2-storey, 5-bay central block flanked by lower 2-
storey, 2-bay wings, the outer bays projecting forward slightly. Main
block: central 3 bays project slightly under triangular pediment. Central
C20 glazed door flanked by attached pairs of Tuscan columns supporting
entablature and cornice. Tripartite projecting panel and sash with
shouldered architrave above. 15-pane sashes flank entrance; sashes with
glazing bars above. First-floor band and sill band, cornice and blocking
course, pediment corniced and shield and laurel sprigs to tympanum.
Flanking wings: as main block, sashes with glazing bars under fan motifs in
semicircular recesses to ground floor, 6-pane sashes above. Hipped roofs.
Brick stacks flanking central block and wings. Wall to left: ramped with
ashlar coping and ball finials. Interior not inspected.
