2 small 2 storey houses of C18 to early C19 date set back from street with a
wide C19 shop front to right. No 23A to left has rubble walls, brick parapet
and slate roof. 2 windows with painted surrounds, sashes with glazing bars.
Round-headed doorway with fanlight and 8-panel door. No 23 has stucco front
with end pilasters and parapet. Venetian window to 1st floor. Later double
shop front has overall fascia with paired end brackets, quoin pilasters and dentils.
Glazing divided by round-headed arches on slender colonnettes.
