9/60 Clough House

House. Dated 1654,possibly rebuilt mid C18. Coursed squared gritstone,
purple slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays and 2 rooms deep. Central half-glazed
door under large shallow-Tudor-arched lintel with 'R L 1654' in relief above
chamfer cut to scallop shape. Recessed-chamfered mullion windows
throughout: 6-light to left, 5-light to right on each floor and 2-light
above door. Dripmould at first-floor level, hoodmould over central first-
floor window. Ashlar gable copings, shaped kneelers, end corniced stacks.
Attached bay to left not of special interest. Interior not inspected.
