Folly. Circa 1750 for Wm Aislabie. Ashlar and rubblestone. 2/3 storeys, 3
bays. Oval shaped in plan. Flanking central bay are offset angle
buttresses and flanking outer bays are remains of rubble walls. Central
large pointed-arched opening, flanked by smaller thin pointed-arched
openings, with raised imposts. First floor: band, central cross shaped
opening, to left a pointed-arched opening, to right a smaller blind pointed-
arched opening. Second storey has similar openings plus projecting sills,
but now ruinous. Above remains of eaves band and parapet. Returns have
cross shaped openings to first floor, with pointed-arched relieving arches
to interior. Derelict at time of resurvey. See Fishers Hall, Hackfall item
