6/2 Gate piers approximately
100 metres west of Shaw

Pair of gate piers. Late C17. Ashlar. Approximately 2 metres high.
Banded rusticated piers with hollow moulded cornices and stepped pyramid
finials. Shaw Hall (qv) is dated 1687 and these piers are a rare survival
from this period.
