2 houses. C17 with mid - late C18 alterations. Coursed squared gritstone,
graduated stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 2 bays. Quoins. Clifton Cottage
(to left): C20 glazed door, tie-stone jambs, a 3-light recessed chamfered
mullion window to left, flat-faced mullion window above. Shaped kneeler and
gable coping to left. Ash Tree Cottage (to right): half-glazed 4-panel door
to right with tie-stone jambs, paired 16-pane sashes in plain surrounds to
left, 4-light recessed chamfered mullion window above. Shaped kneelers and
gable coping to right, large banded ridge stack of 2 builds, centre.
