8/105 Terrace walls to north,
west and south of Castle

GV II

Terrace walls. Probably c1780 for Sir John Ingilby. Coursed squared
gritstone. Approximately 60 metres long on the west side, returning across
the north side of the building for approximately 30 metres and across the
south side for 20 metres. Of 6-8 courses of masonry with low square
projections at the terminals and corners. Moulded string course and
crenellated parapets. See North Yorkshire Historic Gardens Register -
