Bench. Mid-late C19. Ashlar. In neo-Classical style. Curved on plan, the
plain seat is supported by 5 brackets and backed by a low wall with piers at
each end. The wall has a tall pedimented central panel with classical
detailing: 3 pilasters with recessed panels flanked by S-scroll foliated
brackets support an entablature with segmental corniced pediment containing
a circular plaque with profile head, flanked by foliate scrolls. The 2
panels between the pilasters have detailed carvings of swagged fruit and
flowers. Included for group value.
