of Kirby Hall
Walled garden and hothouses. C18 walls and C19 hothouses. Hothouses said
to be by Joseph Paxton. Walls of orange-red brick in Flemish bond, white-
washed to south-east; sandstone coping. High walls with pilaster piers,
ramped up at corners. Flat coping. Hothouse buildings visible over
south-east wall. Interior of garden not accessible. Country Life, 17
