of Old Granary
(Incorrectly shown as Village Farm on large scale OS map.) Stable with
loft, and threshing barn. C18 stable and C19 barn. Stable coursed
cobbles on brick plinth, with orange-red brick lacing bands; red brick
barn in English garden wall bond. Pantile roofs. 2-storey, 3-bay stable
and loft at right of 1 1/2 -storey, 3-bay threshing barn with projecting
centre bay. Stable and loft: brick loft band interrupted by sections of
vented brickwork. Two loft openings, shuttered, with cambered arches.
Right return:- board stable door with timber lintel beneath vented brick
band: shuttered pitching window to loft. Rear:- board stable door in
centre and external flight of steps leading to board loft door. Shuttered
pitching opening left of loft door. Threshing barn: original opening in
centre bay blocked by 4-pane window beneath painted timber lintel. Two
triangular panels of open brickwork vents to right. Pitching openings to
loft on each side of centre bay, left one with board door, right one
blocked. Brick dentil eaves course.
