Mid C18, imposing Palladian house. Red brick, header bond to central block, Flemish
bond elsewhere. Pantiled roofs, centre block hipped and swept, wood bracketed eaves
cornice. Stone dressings include plinth, band, alternating quoins and bracketed eaves
cornice (below the wooden one). Symmetrical composition of tall two-storey,
three-window centre block linked to one and a half storey side wings. Sash windows
with glazing bars in wood architraves; with fluted keystones to flat gauged brick
arches. Ground floor centre window has stone architrave and pulvinated frieze. In
each wing a six-panel door with radial fanlight in stone round-headed architrave with
key; and a tall window (glazing altered in No 62) below a short upper window.
