II
Church. C12, C17 and C19 restoration. Coursed, squared stone and ashlar,
graduated stone slate roofs. Nave with bell turret, south aisle and south
porch; chancel. Nave: 3 bays defined by offset buttresses, 2 between bays
and 3 clasping to west end. Central gabled porch with chamfered elliptical
archway, inner board door in round-arched surround; stone coping and gable
cross. To left a C19 2-light cusped pointed-arched window with hood-mould.
To right a 3-light cusped segmental arched window and similar window to east
end of south aisle. Coping, gable cross. Square C19 west bell turret has
single-light louvred pointed-arch belfry opening to each side, continuous
hood-mould, moulded eaves band and short pyramidal spire with cross. North
side has two C19 2-light cusped pointed-arched windows with hood-moulds.
Chancel: offset buttress to east. Board door in C12 round-arched chamfered
doorway with a small single-light cusped arched window to its left. To
right a 3-light window with ogee arches. Stone coping with gable cross.
East end: C19, 3-light cusped pointed-arched window with hood-mould.
Interior: C10 fragments include a wheelhead cross with the Crucifix and part
of a shaft with 2 coarse figures. Partly-reconstructed C15 screen.
