3/46 The Old Rectory

House. Dated 1834. Red brick in Flemish bond, stone dressings, Welsh slate
roof. 2 storeys, 2 bays. Plinth. Central 6-panel door in Doric porch of 2
pilasters and 2 columns, frieze, cornice and blocking course. All windows
are sashes with glazing bars, and flat arches, those to ground floor have
sills, those to first floor have continuous sill band. Oversailing eaves.
Roof hipped, ridge stacks. Rear has pointed-arched stair window with
intersecting tracery bearing date to arch above. Garden front: similar, of
3 bays. Interior: large plain open-well staircase.
