Bridge. 1776 by John Carr of York. Ashlar, 5 segmental arches with
voussoirs and hoodmoulds, central arch larger. To either side of end arches
is a pilaster butress below coped parapet. Plain walls to each end of bridge.
Half the bridge is in the parish of Newby Wiske. H Colvin,
