Marked as Chequers Inn on Ordnance Survey map. House and outbuildings, now
incorporated into the house. Mid C18 with later additions. Ashlar,
rubblestone, pantile roof. Central block of 2 storeys, 2 bays, right wing
1 storey, 3 bays; left wing set back, 1 storey, 2 bays. Central block: 2
3-light side-sliding sashes with glazing bars below lintels with crude
keystones. First floor: small 8-pane side-sliding sashes. Stone coping,
end stacks. Right wing: to right of left bay a board door, windows are
3-light sashes with glazing bars. Left wing: to right of each bay there is
a board door. Windows are 3-light side-sliding sashes with glazing bars,
that to left below original C18 lintel with crude keystone. End stack to
left.
