4/73 Bank Top Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Early C17 and C18. Rubblestone, ashlar dressings,
pantile roof. 2 storeys, 2 bays with an outshut to left-hand gable.
Through passage plan. Stone quoins. To centre a board door set in quoined
surround, lintel with raised keystone. Windows are 12-pane side-sliding
sashes with thin ashlar surrounds. Above and slightly to the left of the
door is a small 1-pane window in a thin ashlar surround. Shaped kneeler to
right, stone coping. To each side a large offset external stack with
moulded cornices. To each gable can be seen a small 1-light C17 opening,
with a wooden frame and leaded glass. Sprocketed eaves to steeply pitched
roof. Interior: to main room on right a large inglenook fireplace with
moulded mantel, to its right an inglenook bench with shaped end. Interior
