The Almshouses

Outbuilding. Probably late C17, as almshouses (q.v.) with later addition.
coursed squared herringbone-tooled stone, pantile roofs. 2-Storey cell with
lower 1-bay addition to south end. doorway in north gable and tall opening in
east side with stone lintel. Interior: tiebeam supports king post and
slightly-curved braces to purlins; ridge piece; rafters. Set-pot in addition.
An unusual survival of such an early minor outbuilding.
