Garden wall with garden house. Early C18, wall restored C20. Wall of
orangey-red brick in Flemish bond with nibblestone to rear; garden house of
ashlar with nibblestone to rear and Welsh slate roof. L-shaped garden wall,
east wall approx. 55 metres in length and north wall approx. 40 metres, with
garden house at north end of east wall. Wall: approx. 3 metres tall, the top
renewed and with flat stone coping; it is ramped down at north-west angle where
it terminates in ashlar quoins; half-way along east wall is a later gateway with
rubble piers having stepped ashlar capstones. The garden house has a facade in
line with the wall and projects to rear under a pent roof; the front is formed
of a Venetian opening with Tuscan columns and cavelto-moulded architrave with
keystone to arch; moulded coping; at the rear it has quoins and a blocked
central opening with plain stone surround.
