Mile post. Late C19. Cast iron. Triangular in plan. On left side, hand
pointing left and 'HELMSLEY 10 MILES'. On right side, hand pointing right and
'YORK 13 MILES'. On the top, 'BULMER WEST H.D.'. Dates from after the Highways
Act of 1888. The mile post is ex situ, and on the wrong side of the road for
the directions. Water End Farm is not included in this list.
