5/11 Suncliffe Grange

Farmhouse. Mid C18 with added wing, altered 1973. Coursed squared herringbone-
tooled stone; pantile roof. Double-depth main range of 2 storeys and attic, 3 bays,
with later wing of 2 lower storeys and 4 first-floor windows set back on left.
Main range: chamfered plinth; central C20 glazed door flanked by c1973 unequally-
hung 6-pane windows in deepened openings with three 4-pane sashes above; openings
all have herringbone-tooled lintels with raised keystones, the windows with
projecting sills and flush wood frames; at eaves to left of central window is the
end of an iron tie-rod; eaves band; 2 gabled attic windows (1973) with 4-pane
sashes; 2-span roof with shaped kneelers, ashlar coping and end stack to each gable,
those on left of brick, those on right of stone. Wing on left has C20 openings
throughout and is not of special interest. Rear: main range has 2 wide windows
on each floor with herringbone-tooled, keyed, lintels and projecting stone sills,
those to ground-floor left and first-floor right with side-sliding sashes, others
with casements; arched stair window inserted 1973.
