Estate cottage. Late C19 by George Jack for Sir Hugh Bell. Roughcast on brick
plinth with some clap-boarding. Pantiled roof with brick chimneys; zinc door
hood. 2 storeys, 3 bays, the right bay projecting and gabled; lean-to at left.
Left-of-centre half-glazed door under wide, tented hood. Casement window to
left. Right bay blank but for boarded door in inner return. Casement windows
irregularly placed, 2-light in left bay, wide 4-light to right of centre and a
small window in the lean-to. Gable of projecting bay and half-gable of lean-to
boarded. Deeply-swept eaves, with exposed rafter ends, to very high nipped roof
with 3 tall irregularly-placed corniced stacks.
