Friends' School East
Building (formerly listed
as Friends' Meeting House
Friends' Meeting House, now part of school. Circa 1800. Possibly originally
the stable for the house (now School East Central Building, qv). Coursed,
squared tooled stone with plinth; graduated Lakeland slate roof. 1½ storeys, 2
bays visible on front. At right an elliptical carriage arch with small window
above. 2 large windows at left, one a sash, the other a C20 pivoted casement,
both with glazing bars, keystones and projecting cills. North elevation 4 bays
to east; west part behind archway completely glazed. Interior converted to
teaching space.
