GREAT AYTON RACE TERRACE

Two houses, part of a terrace but 2 separate builds. Late C18 or early C19.
Coursed tooled squared sandstone. Pantiled roof to No 2, Welsh slate to No 3;
both have stone trim and brick stacks. 2 storeys, 2 bays each, No 2 wider.
No 2 has a C20 door, No 3 a C19 4-panel door, both with overlights. All window
sashes with glazing bars in wood box frames. Chimneys at ends and junction; one
rebuilt in brick, another rendered. At left end of each roof a stone coping and
kneeler.
