GV II
House, 3 builds. Centre section dated 1723 on a chimney. Extensions
at either side probably later C18 and C19. Centre herringbone-
tooled coursed sandstone, right side stonework larger similar
sandstone, left side pecked sandstone. Low plinth to centre and
left. Pantiled roof with stone ridge, copings and stacks. 2 storeys,
1, 2 and 1 bays.
Boarded door at right of left bay. All front windows Yorkshire
sashes with stone cills; tooled-and-margined lintels in centre,
plain to left, herringbone-tooled to right. Corniced ashlar stacks
at left ends of earlier parts; herringbone-tooled stack to right.
Rear elevation shows recent extension, under catslide roof, in
matching materials but with 5 modern casements and a glazed door.
Interior of old part has chamfered main beam and joists. One
original plain principal-rafter roof truss but ridge piece, purlins
and some principal rafters replaced elsewhere in the roof.
