House, 1717 dated on keystone with initials I.P., altered. Now Boy
Scout holiday house. Large roughly-tooled sandstone blocks on ground
floor. Finely-tooled later dressings and some renewed courses above.
Pantiled roof, stone copings and kneelers, stone and brick chimneys.
2 storeys, 6 narrow bays. Central boarded door under thick chamfered
lintel with wavy tooling and keystone, possibly reset. Blocked
doorway to left of it, and altered left window, now a C20 double
sash with glazing bars. Other windows probably late C19 fixed lights
in narrow chamfered reveals. Very high pitched roof with stepped
stone stack at left, truncated brick stack at right. In left return
gable 2 chamfered attic windows, probably original. Steep rear lean-
to.
Interior: altered, but retains heavy chamfered beams and left end
fireplace with remains of heck partition.
C20 rear extensions are not of interest.
