block and wall running south
for c.20 metres (formerly
listed as walled courtyard
9.2.61 S. of farmhouse)

Remains of gatehouse. C14/C15. Coursed rubble with freestone dressings.
Double chamfered, segmental headed carriage archway under ogee mould with
adjoining simple chamfered pedestrian entrance. Gates restored (probably C19).
Low wall projecting at south with mutilated shield corbel terminating in large
mounting block with 6 steps. Later coursed rubble wall running south.
