GV II

Gates with overthrow, piers and railings. Gates of C18 appearance,
perhaps brought from elsewhere; the remainder probably C20 made to
match. Wrought iron and sandstone. Railings on stone plinth run
from south-west corner of house to south end of property, ending in
pier with pyramidal top. Railings have twist-head standard and
ornamental crested panels. Double gates are hung from taller piers
with rock-faced cappings, and have side panels and elaborate overthrow,
the whole decorated with scrolls, spirals, flowers and the initials
R.P.
