GV II

House, now house and cottage. 1st half C18, raised and altered mid
C19, further altered C20. Coursed, squared, herringbone-tooled
stone; pantile roof with stone coping and ridge; stone stacks.
2 storeys, 3 bays (right-hand bay comprising The Nook). Plinth.
C20 doors below deep lintels, to centre of Pear Tree Cottage and
on left side of The Nook. Windows were chamfered mullioned windows,
now with small-pane side-sliding sashes (a 4-pane sash to 1st floor
of The Nook), herringbone-tooled lintels. Hollow-moulded eaves
band. Moulded kneelers. Shouldered corniced stacks to ridge
flanking central bay. Rear: side-sliding sashes. Interior of Pear
Tree Cottage: the rear wall has an opposing doorway; moulded joists;
in left room and at right end an inglenook fireplace with chamfered
timber bressumer.
