Includes No 10 Castlegate (east side). Corner block of early C19 houses with later C19 or early C20 shop fronts. Brown brick. 2nd floor stucco band. Welsh slate roof. 3 storeys, a total of 4 bays. Nos 2-4 Market Place and No 10 Castlegate have shop windows with slender columns to each side and a projecting wooden fascia with wooden pilasters. No 6 Market Place has a later square bay shop front to the first floor. No 6 Market Place has a canted bay with sashes with glazing bars. All other windows are 16-pane sashes with splayed stucco heads and cills.
