attached granary

Farmhouse with attached outbuilding, probably former granary, to right. Late C17 with
early Cl9 and later alterations. Pale reddish-brown local brick. Low plinth and
1st floor band. Cogged eaves, relating to early C19 heightening. Pantile roof, end
chimneys. Gable end to street. 2 storeys, 2 bays. Former end-lobby entrance moved to
centre. Modern pedimented doorcase and casement windows under soldier arches. Front
room to east has off-centre chamfered ceiling beam running north-south with deeply
curved cyma stops. Inglenook fireplace. Early C19 pine cupboards flanking fireplace.
3-panel doors probably c.1700.
