Farmhouse. C17. Rendered stone rubble, walls raised at eaves in brick.
Bridgewater tile roof at two levels, with gabled ends. Stone axial and gable
end stacks with short shafts, two rebuilt in brick. Plan: 3-room and through
passage plan, the lower end and inner room heated from gable-end stacks; the
hall has an axial stack backing onto the through passage. C20 single storey
wing at rear of left end and C19 outshut at right end. Exterior: 2 storeys.
Asymmetrical 3:2-window south east front with C19 and C20 2-light casements.
Doorway to right of centre with C17 wooden ovolo-moulded frame and original 2-
panel door, in later rendered gabled porch. At rear 2 first floor windows in
ovolo-moulded wooden frames and circa C18 or C19 2-light casements below.
Passage rear doorway to left of centre has C17 ovolo-moulded wooden frame and
plank door. Interior: not inspected but believed to have exposed ceiling beams
and joists, large fireplace, plank partition and principal rafter roof structure
with collars and tenoned purlins.
