Central Buildings and The Toll Booth

Row of 4 shops. Late C18. Red-brown local brick. Pantile roof with stone coping
and kneelers to left. Stacks to end and ridge. Two storeys, 2 bays. Ground floor:
C20 shop windows, varied fenestration and doors. Above C19 sashes in flush wood
architraves and one unequal sash with glazing bars. To left side exterior stairs to
1st floor level. To rear: round-arched staircase window with glazing bars and
further small-paned sashes. C19 extension not of special interest. Included partly
for group considerations.
