Cottage Farmhouse

II

Farmhouse. Probably early C18, with considerable late alteration including C20
full-height extension of one bay to right and rebuilding at rear. Pale red-brown
local brick. Pantile roof, renewed rear pitch, end and ridge stacks. Two storeys.
Originally 2 bays with outshot to rear. End entrance blocked, present entrance to
centre of original section with C20 six-panel door. 16-pane sashes in flush wood
architraves, 1st floor 3-course bond. Yorkshire sashes with small panes above.
Stepped and dentilled eaves. Interior shows beamed ceilings and large fireplace
under timber bressummer.
