22.8.66 Castle (formerly listed under
stables and old wall at
Clifton Castle)
Wall. Possibly medieval with gateway to north of c1800. Rubblestone.
Approximately 2½ metres in height with arched opening to north which is
flanked by ashlar piers with pyramidal caps. The wall is believed to be
part of the original castle.
