Lodge. Early C19. Coursed, squared sandstone, roof covering not
visible. Castle style. Single storey. 3-bay entrance front with
central bay breaking forward. Quoins. Central part-glazed door
in double-chamfered ashlar surround with hoodmould now masked by
C20 glazed porch. Flanking windows have projecting double-chamfered
surrounds and hoodmoulds. Diagonal-latticed iron casements each with
two diamond-shaped opening lights. Continuous dripmould above windows.
Blind arrowloop to central bay. Bell in wrought-iron frame to right.
Embattled parapet stepped up over central bay. Right return: similar,
some windows without hoodmoulds; 3 arrowloops beneath parapet.
Left return: 2 pointed-arch windows and central trefoil-headed light.
Arrowloops to lower part of wall.
