Farmhouse now 3 dwellings and also partly unoccupied. C17, late
C18 and early C19. Coursed, squared sandstone, stone slate roofs
all with Welsh slate to rear, brick and stone stacks. Elongated
range of 4 builds comprising from left to right: single-bay C17
block with wing to rear, contemporary 2-window house much altered,
tall 3-bay house apparently C19 but perhaps refronted, taller 3-bay
early C19 house of double-depth plan. C17 part 2 storeys, otherwise
3-storey. C17 buildings: quoins. Glazed door to right part flanked
by C20 casements, all in square-faced surrounds. Block to left has
similar surround to sash with glazing bars, intact 3-light double-
chamfered mullioned window to 1st floor. Moulded kneelers and gable
copings to left part which has slightly higher ridge. Renewed brick
stack to front roof slope of right part. Another stack to far right,
now shared with adjoining house,has brick base with stone and C20
brick above. Rear: some double-chamfered mullioned windows to 1st
floor. House adjoining to right: ashlar plinth, flush quoins, square-
faced dressings. Central boarded door and overlight with margin
glazing bars in ashlar surround with swept shoulders. Flanking
tripartite sashes with glazing bars, projecting sills. Sashes with
glazing bars to 1st floor. Unequal 9-pane sashes to 2nd floor.
Moulded kneelers and gable copings to left. Shared end stacks. Taller
house to right: plinth, chamfered quoins, plain ashlar dressings.
Contemporary panelled door and overlight with semicircular glazing
bars to bay 1. 2 sashes with glazing bars to right. Band to 1st floor
beneath 3 similar sashes. 2nd-floor band. 9-pane sash to right, others
now matching casements. Moulded stone cornice to eaves. Moulded
kneelers and gable copings. Shared ashlar end stack to front left.
Renewed brick end stack to right. Rear: round-headed stair window,
Interiors: central 3-bay house retains cantilevered stone staircase.
Taller 3-bay house to right retains many original features including:
fireplaces to ground floor right, one with a carved wood surround with
pediment; panelled doors and shutters; contemporary staircase.
