ST 57 SW ABBOTS LEIGH CHURCH ROAD (north-west side)

Vicarage, now a private house. Early C19. Rendered; double Roman tiled
roofs, hipped to lower left and higher right sections; rendered stacks. In a
Gothick style. 2 storeys. Centre section: two 2-light casement and a canted
bay window all with Y-tracery on the ground floor, C20 2-light cross windows on
first floor; C20 door under porch to right. To left: 2 bay kitchen wing with
single storey, single bay projecting scullery/pantry, all with Y-tracery casement
windows. To right: Y-tracery French window on ground floor and three C20
casement windows above. Interior: the dining room has Gothick enrichments,
2 Gothick alcoves, a recessed niche, enriched plasterwork and doorcases with
Gothick colonnettes.
